So, I've seen two ways that people score points when playing with a one hole washers box.
Normally, I've seen 3 pts for the cup, and 1 point for landing in the box.
Recently, I've seen noticed some people to play with:
* 5 points for being in the cup
* 3 points for being in the box
* 1 point for being within 1 foot of the box
* Two different washers in the box or the cup cancel out.
* Outside the box, points are awarded for the player/team closest to the box. The other players/team washer will cancel out the rest of the points.
The second way seems to have a lot more as far as scoring opportunities, which would make it easier for less experienced players.
I guess this is really 2 questions... do most people play the 3/1 way or the 5/3/1 way?
&
Do most people who play the 5/3/1 version also award points for the washer or washers that land nearest to the box?
thanks.
