Washers Box, thickness of walls?

Postby CKU1 » Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:41 am

I look forward to building my first washers game, and have a couple questions. Are there any guidelines to a regulation build specifications? The basic and advanced build instructions use 2x4 walls, but I have seen thinner walls in the other builds. I believe this style will lend to a lighter overall weight for portability.

If I decide to build this style with thinner walls, would it change the way the game reacts, ie. bounce of washers off the sides or top? If the person who made the example reads this post, could you also provide your comments.

Thanks

I don't think that wall thickness is probably a major issue.

I think a lot of people tend to use 2x4's because they are common, and easy to work with.

If you choose to work with 1x4's, I think you'll be equally happy.

A lot of people are starting to make Cornhole boards that are framed with 1x4's instead of 2x4's in order to increase portability, and people have been happy with durability and game play up to this point.
